Our energetic body

Our physical body is our anchor point to the tangible world. It is the visual manifestation of all that we are, strengthened and protected by what is referred to as the energy body surrounding it.

This energy body, called prana in India, qi in China, mana in Polynesia and ki in Japan, can be defined as a series of systems outside the body that give energy to the physical body. Visually, the energy body is often depicted as a halo around the physical body that closely follows the body’s outline. The energy body could be said to resemble a cocoon of protection drawing energy from the universe to stimulate and revitalise the systems of the physical body. The chakras serve the physical body and the subtle body (the aura) as mediators and it is thought that they function as a kind of transformer. The chakras are connected with the different aura layers and the meridians (energy paths) of the body and are also able to absorb energies of the cosmos and the ethereal world. Absorbed energies (vibrations) can be either a “positive“ influence (beneficial and useful) or a “negative“ influence.

A clear and free-flowing energy body is necessary for the physical body to be able to function at its peak, allowing us to maintain a sense of wellbeing and healthy body functions. There are a number of layers or systems associated with the energy body but the ones most clearly linked to physical wellbeing are the chakras and meridians identified and defined by eastern wisdom.

Chakras

chakras on bodyOur chakras systems are thousands of years old and can be found in many cultures all over the world, including the Hopi, Inca and Mayan cultures. They form the foundation for Buddhism and Hinduism, as well as for various techniques of energy and body work, such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Ayurveda, TCM and spiritual healing.

The chakras are energy centres in our body connected to nerve bundles and our internal organs. In Sanskrit chakra means wheel or disk. These energetic wheels spin and can be open or closed and balanced or unbalanced. When our chakras are open and balanced we feel good, when they are blocked there may be emotional and physical manifestations.

The seven chakras

The chakra teachings say that there are seven main chakras which are located along the spine or in the vertical central axis of the body, following the Kundalini energy, from the root chakra to the crown chakra. According to the chakra system, the Kundalini power rises upwards through this assumed energy channel (called sushumna or hara line).  The seven major chakras vitalise the physical body and are located up and down the physical body’s midline. When blocked they can cause illness or pain in specific parts of the body. Each chakra is said to govern a different area or areas of the physical body, making diagnosis of the site of a blockage easier for practitioners. Intimate knowledge of the way the chakras work can also help you to keep track of your wellbeing in a meaningful way.
The chakras are defined by a colour, the parts of the body they govern and the symptoms you may have if an energy block occurs.

How to unblock Chakras

Meditation, affirmations, wearing specific stones or crystals, altering your behaviour and using your healy or a combination of these can unblock chakras. For example meditating while using your healy and holding a stone specific to a chakra you are working on can be a powerful practise.

Chakra meditation can be as simple as focusing on each chakra for a few minutes, paying full attention to the location, colour and the energy you want to infuse it with. Imagine a glowing coloured light shining clockwise for each chakra starting at the root and ending with the crown. You can add an affirmation said with belief, passion and conviction to carry you through the day.

We have 3 ways of working with chakras

  1. The Aura app which gives you insight as to what is happening in your world in relation to your chakras works with the information field.
  2. The individual chakra programs can be run with microcurrents in the pink app or via the information field in the blue app.
  3. The aura pure program in the soul cycle balances all chakras.
